| Motorscooter popularity is on the rise! And, while there are plenty of scooter events on the west coast, all are geared towards "classic" scooters such as Lambretta & Vespa models. While they say "all" are welcome, if you show up on a "Plastic" scoot you are an "outsider" ... Well, not any longer! MaxiBlast is the first west coast scooter event aimed at the new breed of "PLASTIC" maxiscooters! In fact, It's the only maxiscooter rally in the USA where you do not HAVE TO PAY TO BELONG TO A CLUB in order to attend! That's right ... if you ride a maxiscoot ... then you are welcome. |

| Everyone in attendance at MaxiBlast 2003 agreed that they had a great time. Being around other people who shared a common interest in maxiscooters was a blast. From the group meals to the bike show to the poker run ... fun was had by all! Two awards were given out at the rally this year ... Dave Kealy won the Furthest Distance Travled award. Dave made the trip this year with his wife & their Aprilia Atlantic all the way from Reno, NV! The Best Of Rally award went to Mike Miller & his Pimped-out garish Silver 2001 Honda Reflex! We were really suprised at the beauty of this area. Everyone in attendance overwhelmingly agreed to this spot for the rally in the future . There is a lot of stuff to see & do in the Coos Bay area. So for 2004 it will be a 4 day event! With one of the days being a group ride down to Gold Beach, Oregon where the coastal scenery will leave you speechless! |

| Be sure to check the links for Coos Bay, including the ones for accomodations & camping areas. While there are quite a few nice places to stay in the area, we would like as many people as possible to stay at the Mill Casino. This was the center of the event this year & they were very gracious to us ... allowing us to use their facilities without charging us a cent! This is a nice place too ... besides the casino there is an arcade for the youngsters as well as two restaurants,a saloon & a very nice looby with center fireplace for social gatherings! Not to mention the deck around 3/4 of the place that is right on Coos Bay! Also, if we have enough people ... we can probably get a group rate!
